Eline Funeral Home, Reisterstown, MD is looking for a licensed Mortician/Funeral Director or someone eligible to serve an apprenticeship. You will be responsible for all aspects of funeral service including, but not limited to: making removals, arranging (if licensed), working visitations, embalming (if licensed) and other preparation, upkeep of building and grounds, answering service on call nights, and other various duties within the funeral home.

Work schedule includes every other weekend and will have every other Thursday and Friday off. A full-time position would include Health Insurance and Simple IRA retirement.

Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc. in southern York County, Pennsylvania has an immediate opening for a Pennsylvania licensed funeral director/embalmer or a West Virginia or Maryland licensed funeral director/embalmer (by reciprocity without examination). Maryland licensed professionals must have practiced continuously in the State of Maryland for five years in order to meet the requirements of the Pennsylvania State Board for a reciprocal license. Other out-of-state professionals may be considered for the position if they meet Pennsylvania’s statutory requirements for licensure.

MacNabb Funeral Home and Cremation Society of Maryland, Inc., is in search of a licensed Mortician/Funeral Director, who is self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment. Our firm handles calls from the entire state of Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania, and West Virginia on a regular basis. Our directors are responsible for all aspects of funeral service within the day-to-day operation of the funeral home which include, but not limited to: overseeing and conducting funeral and memorial services, making funeral and pre-arrangements, transfers from the place of death (if needed), overseeing visitation staff, embalming preparation (if needed), posing features for identification, and other preparations, such as dressing, casketing, applying cosmetics, and restorative art, as needed, and any other duties as assigned by the management team of the MacNabb Funeral Home, P.A.

All perspective candidates must be committed to placing our client families’ needs as a top priority as exhibited through their actions.  Qualities we are looking for in our professionals are as follows: they must be sincere in their commitment to their work; nurturing, caring, and kind; and one who is willing to place the needs of the client families’ satisfaction as a top priority.  Our licensed professionals work a three week rotation, never working more than 5 days in row without a day off.  This means each professional works approximately 18 weekends a year.  Our schedule rotation includes every third weekend as a four day weekend off and total time worked over three weeks is 14 days working and 7 days off.  On call time answering the telephones from our answering service is only 7 days over three weeks.  Our benefit package for this position includes: competitive compensation relative to the applicant’s experience level, three weeks of paid vacation, full company paid health insurance, company 401K with employer matching the first 3% of the employees contributions, 100% employer-paid professional licensing and continuing education fees, and more.
