WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Wylie Funeral Homes, P.A. is seeking a polished, compassionate, customer service focused, detail oriented, administrative professional with a strong ability to multi-task to join our team. Our administrators are the face of our funeral home to the families we serve. They are the first people that all guests, families, team members, and vendors see when they enter our buildings, or speak to when they call our phones. As such, these professionals play an important role in maintaining our customer service goals.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Greeting, assisting, and following up with families
  • Answering and directing multi line telephones
  • Ordering merchandise, flowers, and other items needed for services
  • Filing appropriate service-related paperwork
  • Interacting with vendors for various office needs
  • General office duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Two years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Superior communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to work with, and be a part of, a team

COMPENSATION:

FUNERAL HOME TRANSPORTER

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Wylie Funeral Homes, P.A. is seeking a full time Funeral Home Driver to pick up and transport decedents in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Responsibilities include going to residential homes/hospitals to be pick up decedents, transport them to funeral home, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions and maintenance services for the vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
  • Pick up decedents from the specific location and at the time requested
  • Report information regarding regular car service appointments and report any issues
  • Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car
  • Make various stops at nursing homes, doctor’s offices, vital records, etc.
  • Assist the funeral home in day-to-day operations
  • Other Duties as assigned

SKILLS:

  • 2 Years of Professional Driving Experience
  • A valid Maryland driver’s license
  • A clean driving record
  • Familiarity with GPS devices
  • Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
  • Ability to lift heavy items
  • A polite and professional disposition
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate
  • A high school diploma

COMPENSATION:
$16.83 per hour + overtime + excellent benefits package.

Kalas Funeral Home (Oxon Hill, MD) is seeking a full-time licensed funeral director/embalmer at our Oxon Hill, MD location. We are a small, family-owned and operated firm looking for someone who is progressive and imaginative, and would like to become an active member of our community located in southern Prince George’s County, minutes from the District of Columbia and Virginia markets. Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Eline Funeral Home, family owned and operated, serving our local communities and families for six generations since 1863. We have three establishments: Finksburg, Hampstead and Reisterstown.

We are looking for a full-time licensed funeral director and embalmer. Directors will meet with at-need and pre-need families, assist with transfers, embalm and help with the day to day operations of the funeral home. Licensing Requirements:
When individuals preplan their funeral expenses their money is securely placed in a specialized Life Insurance Policy. This provides safety and security to ensure those funds are immediately available when death occurs. This requires our consultants to have an active Life Insurance License in their home state. Your state insurance department will conduct a background check prior to licensing. If we offer you a position following the interview process we will ask that you attain licensing as quickly as possible.
Funeral Directors License also required.
